Success Stories
In 2001, we had a Success Stories Give Away in which our students and graduates were invited to
submit their own success stories on how our courses had helped them. The winner received a
Palm VII. Following are some of the entries we received:
Chris H. wrote: I took the Webmaster certification courses along with A+.
I have not completed my certs. but I already got a killer job with
Associated Industries of Florida doing Web development. I am now updating
and creating sites and pages. I am responsible for 4 Web sites. The classes
I took helped me get into the door and now I'm doing great. Thanks!

little Web design and work on my site from things I had learned from my
Webmaster. I really only knew enough to basically make me dangerous.
I was elated when I found the Webmaster Certification program online and
amazed that I was beginning my first lesson within 5 minutes after I found
the site. It was so easy!
The set up is awesome! There is no other way to describe it! It is so easy
to learn at your own pace. The flow is very smooth and I have yet to be
bored. Although I am very new and on just my 3rd class I have absorbed a
tremendous amount of information and learned a lot that I did not know.
The courses make you want to continue and learn all that you can. I cannot
thank Webyoda enough for giving me this opportunity.

Web position with a company doing mainly HTML content. After completing all
the courses and passing the test, I have been promoted to Web Developer and
have many more responsiblities along with more money! The courses were very
easy to follow and made a lot of sense. The best part of the courses, was
the fact that any questions I had about any course or code that I was
working on at work, the professors were extremely quick to assist me in
any way they could. I have my certification hanging on my wall in my home
office and I am very proud.

taking the required courses for certification, I have taken several others
that have proved equally invaluable.

available out there. I was surprised at how much I learned, and how much
more I will continue to learn in future courses.

the WAW. Because I am able to put on my resume' that I am currently enrolled
in the Webmaster Certification courses I was able to get an entry level
position with an American Co. in Europe (I already live here). Although,
Web management is not my main function in the company it is a growing part
of the job and without the Webmaster Certification courses, I wouldn't have
gotten the job. Thank you.

HTML and Advanced HTML, but it has made a great difference in my life. I
started out taking a Networking class in the Fall of 2000, but then someone
told me about Web Yoda, so for the Spring 2001 I signed up for the above
classes.
I was an Admin. Asst. for the Engineering dept. at Anchor Glass Container
Corp. In March, a Help Desk position came open and I applied. I got the
promotion in part, because I was the only candidate taking computer courses.
Our company is a little behind the times as we do not have a Web site, at
all. The Technical Services Manager knew I was taking the Web Yoda classes
and asked me to design the company Web site. So, in between helping out on
a 600 piece PC rollout, doing my regular Help Desk duties, and dealing with
being sold by our parent company, I have designed the Anchor Glass Web site,
which will hopefully launch in early September.
As you can see, Web Yoda has made a big difference in my life. Thank You!

photo editing, and creating Web graphics but never in my wildest dreams did
I believe that this program could do so much. Having completed the Paint
Shop Pro class I was able to make fantastic graphic home page front end
that has given me the confidence to present myself to clients as a capable
Webmaster. I wish I had more time to develop a few more projects.
Not being artistically minded, and never even thinking of drawing a graphic,
the class gave me to tools and confidence to do just that. I wish that I
could learn how to use all my programs that effectively. I was so surprised
and excited at the detailed step-by-step instructions that took me, the
ignorant and fearful, and gave me the skills and confidence to even try
and do more than the class taught.
My instructor was wonderful in his ability and willingness to help me with
questions and procedures that were not covered by the class. I am excited
and thankful for this class in using Paint Shop Pro, and am currently
working on E-Business class which is proving to be just as thorough in its
approach. Imagine all this from the comfort of my home, my computer and at
my convenience. All this and some very reasonable prices too. Thanks again
Web Yoda!

developing a group of students who will hopefully produce a Web-based
version of the school paper, the year-book, as well as the usual high

HTML). My office needed a Web site for our intranet and I was elected among
the group to create this Web site. I spent countless hours working on this
site without much success. I was so discouraged. That is when a friend told
me about your courses. On the first day of class, I was really nervous
about whether I could really do this. I knew some of the basics but I really
did not know if I had what it took to learn this. The teacher was very
encouraging and the course material was easy to understand. I can't tell
you how impressed I was after the class. When I returned to work, I was
thrilled to know that I could refer back to the course material for help.
I really did not expect to be able to go back through the course materials.
It has been great for my personal review over subjects that were a little
hard for me to understand the first time. I really enjoyed my first
experience with your courses. I am looking forward to my next class. By
the way, I am almost finished with my Web site. The difference is
outstanding. I know that I don't have all the answers but I do have a
really good foundation that I can build upon at a later time. But now that
I have this knowledge, I have the confidence to complete this project and
be proud of my new Web site. Thank you!
